DON’T BE A IDIOT

Seeking justice the other day in the Court of Appeal (trying to overturn one of the most odious and moronic decisions in the history of American jurisprudence issued two years ago by the San Mateo County Superior Court) the following was over heard: An attorney arguing another case, and clearly trying to emphasize a critical point, stated, with deep solemnity and unctuousness of tone (and with a look of complete self-satisfaction on his face):

Your Honors, as my old law dean used to say: If my grandmother had spoke, she’d be a bicycle!

The collective look on the justices’ faces probably mirrors the look on your face right now. (At least he didn’t throw himself on the Ignorance of the Court.)
